  8. Miss Pennsylvania, Marla Wynne, a finalist, congratulated newly
  9. crowned Marjorie Judith Vincent and left for home last week
  10. filled with happy thoughts of her days in Atlantic City. Then
  11. Larry King, one of the judges, aired a sour afterthought. Who
  12. was the ugliest contestant, Joan Rivers asked the gab-show host
  13. on her TV show. "Pennsylvania," he said, adding that her
  14. ventriloquist's "dummy was prettier." A hurt Wynne said that
  15. King wouldn't have been so insensitive if he knew about "the
  16. blood, sweat and tears that went into it." King later
  17. apologized, calling himself "the real dummy." No argument there.
